Alexis Poulton, DVM

My name is Dr. Alexis Poulton. I grew up in Delaware, Ohio, and attended The Ohio State University for my undergraduate studies, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a minor in Studio Art in 2022.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life. From my years in 4-H to starting as an assistant at Oakside Animal Clinic when I was 16 years old, these experiences helped solidify what I had known for years—that veterinary medicine was the perfect career for me. I developed a deep appreciation for the combination of problem-solving, hands-on patient care, and building relationships with both my patients and their families.

After completing my undergraduate studies, I attended The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2026. My professional interests include exotic animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy cooking and baking, playing tennis, and creating artwork of people's pets. I currently live in Delaware with my husband, Oleg; our happy and incredibly food-motivated Labrador Retriever, Henry; and our three beautiful cats, Myla, Benson, and Becky.
